Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 July 2026

Paddo ("we", "us") is a study companion for CBSE Class 10 students. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how you can control it. You can read and search every topic on Paddo without creating an account — nothing on this page changes that.

What we collect

If you never log in: your streak, XP, and learned topics are stored only in your browser's local storage, on your own device. We don't receive or see this information.

If you log in with Google: we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google, and we store your study progress (learned topics, XP, streak, exam date, study plan) against your account so it's the same on every device you log in from.

Usage analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand which topics are searched for and how the site is used, so we know what to build next. This involves cookies and standard technical data (browser, device type, approximate location, pages visited).

Who we share it with

  • Google — for sign-in (OAuth) and analytics (Google Analytics). Google's own privacy policy governs how it handles this data.
  • Supabase — the database that stores your account's study progress if you're logged in.
  • YouTube — topic videos are embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which limits tracking unless you actively play a video.

We do not sell your data to anyone.

Your choices

  • Use Paddo without an account — reading, search, and diagrams don't require login.
  • Log out at any time from the account menu; your device continues working from local storage.
  • Request deletion of your account and stored progress by emailing us (below) — we'll remove it within a reasonable time.

Students and minors

Paddo is built for students preparing for CBSE Class 10 exams, typically around 14–16 years old. We only collect the account information described above, and only if you choose to log in. If a parent or guardian believes their child has an account they'd like removed, contact us and we'll delete it.

Future changes

Paddo is free to use today. If that changes in the future — for example, introducing optional paid features — we'll update this policy and let users know before any change affects them.
